that happened 20 miles from my house - did you know that ?

its not the same thing at all ........ in one, 5 police officers, sworn to Protect and Serve, held a man down, and then one shot him in the back. The other was a brutal beating/killing of a woman. She fought back pretty hard from what I gather []

But while they're very different murders, you're right ....... I didn't join thousand of others and burn down my own neighborhood and loot and steal because of it ....

Charlie I see your point, its not blacks in general but why does the black community as a whole put a stop to this mob thug mentality?
I saw no one stopping the torchings or window bashings. Why didn't the police arrest the hoodlums?
I saw plenty of cameras but nothing was done to stop the destruction.
I would protect my belongings and my family even if the police refused to do so.

Police arrested over a 100 people.

How does a community stop a riot after it's started? especially when this occured in the downtown area of Oakland.

So would I.

Stealthy is saying all blacks do this in another thread, that is BS.

I think the answer to that is the older wiser adults in the community. Parents need to take responsibility for their children. Get them off the streets and keep them off the streets.

Restitution????????[:-]

Ding ding ding, you just identified the problem and answer. I guess the answerhas to come from within the community, and until a community starts to take actions, there will be little change.

Except for the fact this wasn't a bunch of kids.

This is about personal responsibilty, has nothing to do with keeping your kids home.
