Closing Gitmo is a joke. What makes that prison any better or worst than any other prison? I say it's better. It's in the tropics, might I ad, avery beautiful place and it's new. Anyone who is for closing might as well be for letting everyone go free.

Whats worse is that they're dumping these prisoners in UK soil when its not our problem, it sickens me. The benefits they will get and the UK isn't making their people priority.

Funny, not your problem. We should pack up and go home and say screw the rest of the world. You all come running to use when any little thing pops up in the world, excluding that major problem called Faukland Islands. Seems to me you still had a little bit of a problem there as well.

The US has beenreleasing Gitmo prisoners for years, usually at the request of the prisoners governmnet. Dozens of Saudi Gitmo prisoners have been released in Saudi Arabia after religious re-indoctrination. Some of them have been killed or captured in battles with Saudi police.A few were killed or re-captured after fighting US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Better that they be dumped in the UK than on US soil.

I wouldn't like to see the how the U.S would react to housing dangerous prisoners like what will happen to us very soon.
Taking our benefits, free healthcare, housing. The government seems to care more about other nations that its own people....

No, I'm all for leaving them in Gitmo, but when your own government is on the bandwagon that it needs to be closed then you all need to step up to a solution to them being released tomorrow. At least this will delay their release another year or so. As soon as gitmo is closed, anyone brought here to the states will be released with in a year.
