I heard that he plans to name Roland Burris as the Senate replacement for Barrack Obama even though he has gotten a letter from the Senate saying they will not seat anyone appointed by him.

Haven't heard anything about it myself, but no Blago is not stupid. He is just arrogant and places himself on a pedastal, along with having illusions of grandeur. Actually there is quite a bit of talk among many Illinoisans that Blago is mentally incompetent.

They can't stop him. He has been convicted of nothing, is the sitting Governor and has the right to place anyone he chooses by law. He would have been hammered in the IL senate , but all they have is copies of phone calls (no evidence of wrongdoing) and Here say. He knows the game, knows how to play it and the people cannot stop it. If they had something on him, or he has something on them (think IL politics) why was he not impeached?

That's what I was about to say. He don't look that stupid to me. In fact, he is obligated to appoint someone so Illinois can be fully represented by two senators.
I think I will just pop some popcorn, and enjoy the show. Illinois voters are getting what they voted for....

Blago has not been impeached yet due to the committee waiting for Fitzgerald to release evidence to them. In fact Fitzgerald just asked the court to allow him to release 4 recorded tapes of Blago. Once the committee decides he should be impeached its all up to the Illinois Senate to officially oust him. Gotta remember hard evidence is not necessary, its not a court preceeding. It may drag on a while but Blago is history!
See, if Blago did indeed nominate Burris he is just arrogantly showing his intention of listening to nobody. Burris will not be seated.
They have no grounds for not seating him. Harry will loose this one in the Supreme Court. I love it, he has every right to apoint the next Senator.
