I just heard on CNN that they are whining for more, anyone else hear about this yet ?
Does not surprise me at all.
I bet 60 years ago Nash, Packard, and Willy's would have loved to have some free money, but they chose to do the right thing and fail. At least back in the day companies tried to succeed!
When was the last time you saw the big three merge with an appliance company to try and stay in business...?
People need to quit relying on the Government to solve their problems!!

I love Christmas lights. They remind me of the people who voted for Obama. They all hang together; half of them don't work, and the ones that do, aren't that bright.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do
not understand, no explanation is possible.
A golf course is a willful and deliberate misuse of a perfectly good rifle range.
I guess they figure they had better strike while W is still in office. Personally I say let them claim bankruptcy, bust the unions and come back after restructuring, reduce the product line and the prices and start making cars that can compete. I mean seriously the GM label alone is Chevy, Cadillac, Pontiac, GMC, Hummer, Saturn, Buick and Saab. I say kick Hummer and Chevy trucks, produce all trucks as GMC's, Cadillac is the only high end vehicle, roll up Chevy, Buick and Pontiac into one entity for all of the mid and full size vehicles and use Saturn or Saab as all of the sub compact and compact vehicles. Or they can go the route that Ford takes, Chevy = Ford, Pontiac = Mercury and Buick/Cadillac= Lincoln and all trucks produced as GMC's. Saw a commercial last night that said that they have 37 models that get better than 30 mpg. That's just in the compact to mid size categories, that don't include full size vehicles or trucks. How much can operating expenses be reduced if they cut the model line by 1/2 or even a 1/3. It's obvious that nobody is buying any one model in any substantive numbers to justify this. Inflated production costs for a sub quality vehicle. I really hate to say it but my next vehicle will probably be a Nissan or Toyota if the the big three can't get it together.

Obama=The Fourth Reich,
Just look at the parallels of the Nazi regime and the Obama Administration amazingly similar arent' they.
I just gave some of my money to the only one of the Big 3 that hasn't asked for any... Bought myself a nice, brand new, shiny, bright red 2008 Texas Edition Ford F-150 with the 5.4L V-8.
Son #1 took the day off from his family. Son #2 took the day off from his video games. Wife came along for the ride. Turned it into a family event. No one complained that it took two hours for the dealer to get through all the paperwork. I haven't bought a new car for myself since I got my Mustang GT over 20 years ago, so I guess they figured this was a once in a lifetime event...
