Rice, 54, said she has enjoyed working in the Bush administration during the last eight years, first as national security adviser, then as secretary of state.
"There is no greater honor than to serve this country," she said, adding that there is also no greater challenge
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that despite President Bush's low approval ratings, people will soon "start to thank this president for what he's done."

Sad thing is, his approval rating is about twice as much as the Democrat congress...

That is the rating of "congress" not just Democrats.Collectivelycongress has an approval rating lower than whale crap until election time; when 90 percent of the pukes from both parties are re-elected.

How far apart are here eyes ......? I guessing 6 inches but it could be more.
Almost as far as the gap in her teeth. Bush will go down and remain as the worst president in the history of the US. His legacy will be the upcoming depression spawned by the war that shouldn't have been.

Only time will tell about Mr. Bushs future ratings but he kept us from another terrorist attack thus doing his part in that department.
It was a Democrat congress because they had the majority. They could have stopped they war and they could have stopped the spending. They have to approve all spending. They could have stopped the housing bust( they are the only ones who could have.
Using Bush as a whipping post for all the worlds woes is about over so start thinking of who you are going to trash after he is gone. For that reason ONLY I will be glad to see him go home.
I am no economist but anyone with half a brain could see this housing bust coming for 20 years or so. You can't buy and sell the same house over and over with everyone trying to make a 30 percent profit on it. Once a house is priced out of the price range of people needing a HOME, the market is going to crash or certainly go into a depression. People borrowed and spend on housing and a lot of other things that they couldn't affords trying to keep up with the Jones. It couldn't last and it came to a head and would have no matter who was at the helm. We got what we asked for for not holding our politicians and ourselves accountable since the mid 60's.(If not much longer)

Didn't they say that about Reagan? Truman? It may take twenty years, but Bush will get his due. He wasn't a perfect president (even your Saint Kennedy wasn't) but he was the right man at the right time.

When pigs fly.
Funny, I heard the same thing as Reagan was leaving office.
