Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Worse than Global Warming ?

Scientists have found two large leaks in Earth's magnetosphere, the region around our planet that shields us from severe solar storms.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,468268,00.html

The leaks are defying many of scientists' previous ideas on how the interaction between Earth's magnetosphere and solar wind occurs: The leaks are in an unexpected location, let in solar particles in faster than expected and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.

The bottom line: When the next peak of solar activity comes, in about 4 years, electrical systems on Earth and satellites in space may be more vulnerable.

"It should be that we're in for a tough time in the next 11 years," Sibeck said.

Something worth worrying about besides glow-ball climate changes?[8D]

We could be fryed like bugs on a big bug zapper & many other things really( the boomarang effect?, reversal of the north south poles, extreame heat & cold(not like today conditions) . fly out of orbit, solar shields down, super volcano eruptions, struck by a large metor etc etc .Many things that wouldnt be to good...

Guess i better stock up on the tin foil, sun block, sunglasses etcto

Plenty of knowen hazardess things i think- natural events that could if not distroy mankind outright at least make life very diffacult for those who survived.

The big volcano down the road a ways from me could go off-( that worrys/worryed my daughter a bit i know- at least after she watched the movie( still there in the back of her mind tho i know to)

Am i worryed about what some call the end days, that volcano going off - winters being milder more drought- that things might warm up some more- no not to much- if it happens- it happens.

Conditions will never be perfect for everyone everywhere & they never where as others have pointed out.(man marchs on)

And Like earthquakes , tsunamis, tornados, floods , tropical storms, winter storms etc. That some plan for or should anyways these nature events as they have happened before & will likey happen again & be as prepared as possible for there effects on there lifes - And they should do the same with any global warming & its effects also.

I am inclined to believe mankind will adapt & survive this to & life will go on for a long long time after im dead&gone.I am a optamistic pessamist.

But I could build whole vast underground citys of semimole ppls- with aquatic hydro gardens & swiimng pools(with fish& mammels, birds to eat) etc all on the few 40acres of highground we have -even under very severe surface conditions . ( much cheaper construction costs& upkeep comepared to biosphere like antfarms)

All i need is water , energy ^& materials- donatons etc will be excepted including from big pockets uncle samy( just give me some of my moneys back) @

But now no one has to worry much- WE have O bamy watching over us

and the whole interaction works in a manner that is completely the opposite of what scientists had thought.

And we ALL know that scientists are never wrong!!! They were spot-on when they said the sun revolved around the earth. And we know that they nailed it when they said the earth was flat, too!

Unlike religion science at least has enough class to admit when it's wrong and change it's views. BTW, it was the Roman Catholic church that claimed that the sun revolved around the earth, Galileo was imprisoned and nearlyexecuted as a heretic for claiming otherwise and was forced to publicly recant his views. Look it up this time.
