Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I think it is a good idea. Bush and company have brought down the whole nation, and drastic measures are needed. Jobs are the main concern, then basic living material for the masses. Thats how great Republican policy has uplifted our country, ....to the point of desperation and mere survival.

The Bush white house has given 3.5 trillion to the banks andcredit card companies. Maybe we tax payers are entitled to some too.

Yes, everyone needs to be able to buy a new muffler for their car. This stimulas is a joke. When you don't pay taxes, 40+% of America, the only thing they can do is mail out a one time check. Why not do something real like cut corporate taxes below every other nation to encourage growth? Why not eliminate capitol gains tax? This will have lasting effect in creating jobs. To throw money at roads and bridges will only help illegals find jobs as day labors.

Every time I heard him talk, he said he was going to reduce wasteful spending. Will a few thousand dollars for each American fix the economy? Nope.

Where will/should the money come from?

Yep, but I was against giving anything to the banks in the first place.

Have you ever in your life seen a politician that didn't say they would eliminate unnecessary spending? I think that joke started with King Solomon or earlier. Another stimulus package? That is just what Bush did. How many thought it was a good idea when Bush did it? Or signed off on it. This is Polosi's plan.

FM is exactly right on what it takes to create jobs. I believe osama will do just the opposite. He will print up 30 more train loads of worthless money and we will keep playing the game. It sounds like he wants to take a page or to from FDR's play book. How did that work out in the long run? We are still paying for that one.

and tell us about how Clinton forced Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to delve into some home loans that could never be paid back...one of the exact reasons we are in this mess today...
