Bars open till 5:00am

Yea haw. Legislators have been working hard. On the night of Obama's inauguration the bars will be open till 5:00 am. And in the words of Marion Barry, "œthis is a great idea, just think of the extra tax revenue". Barry will be out with his coke tooter in one hand and his whiskey sour in the other. I guess Barry didn"™t talk to the police chief who has started hiring 1400 new cops for this occasion. I wonder if the city will break even.

Funny, people shouldn't own firearms in DC, but by gosh they ought to be able to drink until 5:00 a.m. at the bar because the city needs the tax revenue.

Makes total sense. Watch out crossing the streets downtown, it's already dangerous enough without a bunch of drunks added to the mix.

Wonderful logic at work here. Why dont we just keep all bars in the U.S. open until 5am for the extra revenue.

Hell........why even close them? You can have shift bartenders
