NEAR BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- As coalition forces reported significant gains Friday -- seizing Baghdad' s international airport and other key targets in their drive toward the capital -- Iraqi President Saddam Hussein called on his people to fight U.S. and British troops " with what you have available."

The Iraqi people should be warned to stay inside their homes....anyone outside at night will be considered a combatant...just my opinion.

That makes me a little nervous.

Roger that Wanwtf, I believe they plan on putting masses of unarmed civilians into the path of incoming forces. Some of these may be genuine civilians but the others will be Regime forces in disguise. I makes me nervous as well, IMO the regime is looking to create an humanitarian incident.

If the Saddam Regime is out of touch, then the Iraqi Regular Forces may have been sending out a hint as to what may be coming. This may be a sign that Saddam is not in the know as to what is happening. Those that report to him may be misinforming him for fear of being executed.

In light of the latest supposed statement and TV appearance by Saddam, the two approaches don' t match. Any thoughts?

What I' m afraid of is the relative ease that we have taken the air port may indicant (sp?) a WMD attack coming. Especiallly since the " elite" republican guard may have retreated back into Bagdad. Seems an awful lot like setting a bear bait out for the big griz and when he gets there blasting him! Not trying to say bear baiting is bad just that, This is what Saddam seems to be doing. bait and bomb!

Those two comments, coupled with the one a few weeks ago about coalition forces " ...burning in the desert" make me more than a little nervous. With all that bouncing around in my head, all I can think of is a possible nuclear attack against coalition forces, whether by an actual warhead or a couple of dirty bombs. You just never know with these folks.

Its a little scary, but I' d take with a grain of salt.
Saddam quote from ' 91:" This will be the motherof all wars." It lasted 100 hours once the ground troops went in.

Saddam quote Feb.' 03:" The world will see terror from the land,the sea,and the air." Only seeing that over his butt.

Saddam quoted many times through out his many " live" T.V. spots saying Iraq will be the victors and we will fail miserably.

I know he' s capable and has WMD but I haven' t heard anything from him or his lackey boy Al-whats his name that lead me to belive it' s nothing more than grasping at straws before he dies.
