Just released - tape of " Saddam" disclosing current events

If the guy on the tape is Saddam, it pretty much proves that he at least survived the opening salvo. It is possible it is a double, but looks like him to me. He mentioned the " peasant who shot down the Apache helicopter," which is an accurate occurrence of over a week ago. It would be easy for him to have pre-taped messages of the coalition closing in on Baghdad before the war even started. But the specific mention of a farmer who shot down the helicopter indicates a greater degree of accuracy than could have been expected in a tape that purportedly has only one edit.

The jury' s still out, but this is the best evidence yet that he is alive.

I have a feeling it was faked or staged or thats an imposter. It is known that Saddam has had people that look just like him get plastic surgery so they would really look like him.

Saddam is not stupid enough to make a public appearence, and he must surely know there are sniper/assassin teams of special forces all over Baghdad trying to kill him.

I say he is holed up in that bunker that some German company built and they say a direct hit with a 20kt nuke would not get him.

I saw that tape on the news earlier. I feel like it is one of his body doubles. For the last several weeks all we have seen were Saddam' s advisors, bodyguards, foreign ministers, and non-date specific photo ops. The " coalition" media immediately starts shouting, " Saddam must be dead or severely wounded. He would not miss an opportunity to stick his tongue out at the US and other coalition members." Now, all of a sudden, with the hype about his probable demise, Saddam shows up on the boob tube again.... highly unlikely. I mean, come on people, do you think that those that cling to the last vestiges of power in Iraq aren' t watching the US news? They know what we know, possibly more. They know we want him and his followers dead in the worst possible way, and all of a sudden --poof-- heeeeeere' s Saddam.

Every photo and video clip of him looks different than the preceding one. This one followed the same pattern.

It could easily be one of his many doubles. But as a number of our leaders have said, it really doesn' t matter anymore. If he is still alive, his military is largely destroyed, captured or deserted, with the exception of thousands of " dead enders" in Baghdad and a few other areas, who won' t surrender. They' ll no part in the new Iraq.

He has lost his ability to communicate and control what little defense he has. Baghdad is surrounded and remaining targets are being relentlessly pounded. The enemy is seriously wounded, though still dangerous at times.

The new government that is being organized inside and out, will soon begin to function, at first symbolically and gradually take over completely.

We' re starting to see many people throughout Iraq show their gratitude to Americans, British and our allies for liberating them from a terrible dictator and the seeminly endless nightmare they' ve lived under his boot for decades.

I hope he is dead, but it dont seem like it. i saw a small piece with a video of him holding a baby and the moles on his face and all that where said to be like the ones he has always had. perhaps he is alive, but if he is, it wotn be much longer.
