Around here in California and out west generally there was talk about a no hunting policy unless youhad a guide with you...I don't think that will happen, but the NFS will see cuts, it's not a money maker. Our National Forest will not be the same for maybe even our kids and surely for our grandchlidren...Probably someday you might not even get to walk on it, only time will tell.

In Illinois, the democratic governor keeps trying to shut down state parks to "save money". Never mind that the scumbag feels it completely necessary to fly from Chicago to Springfield every day because the gov's mansion isn't good enough for him!

Republicans have been doing their damnedest for 30 years to get rid of every scrap of federally held land, either sell it off outright or privatize it. They are even worse than Democrats at keeping the national park system underfunded and neglected. Republicans are even worse than Democrats at appropriating funds for the national park service. Odd, since they are the party that established the National Parks Service to begin with, under Teddy Roosevelt. Of course, T.R. would probably be a Democrat these days since there is no such thing as a populist Republican any more.

I've had enough to gag on over the past 8 years from voting for Bush. If I gag over voting for Obama, it'll at least get that Bush taste out of my mouth. [:'(]

I'm all for higher fees at the gates to support the national and state park systems. Pay to play. Would also bring in revenue from visitors from other nations.

we already pay, have paid and will continue to pay and in fact, hunters/sportsmen pay MUCH more already
