Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Thissets a precedence. Never heard of anything like an "Office of the President-Elect" before.Obama isreally not thePresidente-Elect since hehas not been ruled so by the College of Electors.

This isprovides a great opportunityforRepublicans to get some recognitionfor President Bush after 20 January. We couldcall the organization"TheOffice of The Former Lame Duck."

The only power "Office Of President Elect" holds is theinfluence on wall street of what is about to come. I would say he is failing miserably. I guess you could say too there is an office of 'Candidate Far Ahead In The Polls.' That would have an affect on wall street also.

There are absolutely no constitutional powers.

I have an Office position too.

"Office of the Middle Aged Guys Who Drink Beer on the Weekend While Mowing the Lawn and Fixing Crap Around the House Elect."

I was Elected by my wife, but I haven't had time to count the vote yet I'm too busy trying to fill my Cabinet with neighbors willing to help.

Technically, under the Constitution, Obama will not even become the "president-elect" until the Electoral College convenes after the second Wednesday in December and elects him based on the results of the Nov. 4 general election. Right now, he's still just Barack Obama, the junior senator from Illinois...

Happily, he will be appointing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Her first job will be to lead the world in a song...

"I'd like to teach the world to spell..."

For Obama voters only... There's only one "m" in "Tomorrow."

Have you noticed that the stock market has been up for four straight sessions, with the Dow gaining over a 1,000 points, since the President Elect unveiled his economic team? The stock market is a leading indicator, investors are demonstrating confidence that the economy will be better under President Obama.

The last four days don't mean squat. Watch what happens over the next few weeks and you will see what the "investor's" confidence is. I don't think ANYONE that knows ANYTHING has any confidence in the economy right now no matter who is in power.

The first two days after he was elected, the market tanked big time, but the media refused to blame his election. Therefore, I refuse to give him credit for an upswing.[8D]
