RE: Pardons?
Good question. I hope he doesnt pull a Bill Clinton and let all the loons out of the joint. The crooks should say. The whole notion of a Presidental pardon is just crazy.

Unintended consequences and God have one thing in common: Liberals don’t believe in either of them.
Scooter Libby might merit one on the basis of serving as somewhat of a scapegoat/fall guy. Stephens is a dumass and doesn't deserve squat no matter what your perspective.

I haven't done anything wrong, but I would like a blank pardon signed by president Bush that I could fill in should the need arise - you know, a "get out of jail free" card.
Might be handy someday.

Funny how a dem is all worried about pardons now. Didn't seem to matter when it was Bill letting terrorist out of jail or tax evaders who were in violation of US sanctions, big time drug dealers and murders. Heck that was ok even though undisclosed amounts of money changed hands and lined the pockets of Clinton and his relatives.
Stevens, I don't think he got a fail trial. I don't think any politician can in Washington DC. You have prosecuters who were found doing misconduct during the trial.
Abramoff - why would he?
Libby deserves a full pardon because he did nothing wrong.

It boggles my mind that a politician whose "crimes" were done in Alaska could be tried in DC. Makesmewanna puke, again.
In the end, U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton said Libby"™s lies in the Valerie Plame affair outweighed his public service, from the Cold War to the Iraq war.
Walton sentenced Vice President Dick Cheney"™s former chief of staff to 2½ years in prison for lying and obstructing the CIA leak investigation "” the probe that showed a White House obsessed with criticism of its decision to go to war.
I hope he pardons those agents who shot and wounded the drug smuggler but I don't think he will, he helped railroad them in the first place.[:@]
Me too, thats pretty much my biggest complaint about President Bush.
