For purposes of argument and critical thought consider this...
That old lady did the same type of thing that people against the Viet Nam debacle did in the 60's. They were beaten and killed for doing so and many Americans said they "deserved" it, that they placed themselves in harm's way.
She simply had a prop snatched from her hands by limp wrists.
When the dust settles, she'll probably make the talk show circuits or at least have a warm reception from Fox News and company...and of course a book deal.
Those who attacked should be prosecuted for "hate crimes".
Poetic justice.

I understand what you are saying, but what happened then is just as wrong as this. Two wrongs don't make a right. Vietnam protesters did not deserve it, nor did this old lady.

I see hypocrisy in the reaction of the right on this one. If she were protesting Iraq, they'd have said she shouldn't have been there and it would not have happened. Because it was religious, she's given a pass.
No old ladies were harmed in the making of that video.[8D]

True, but hypocrisy is hypocrisy. No matter what the ideology is. As for a pass, none should be given. If she had went and hit one of the gay activists, she should have assault charges on her. The activists were engaged in free speech, nothing was happening to them, yet the old lady was engaging in her right to free speech and was assualted.
