Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I would hate to see that ever happen but the division in this country is troublesome to say the least. I look at the Red/Blue Map and it is crystal clear that the urban and rural states are well defined. They say that anything that has happened once will happen again. You Know, history always repeats.

Pie in the sky

Why bother? Even if we (the real americans still left in N.america) won, and created our own "new" traditional society, the liberal slim would eventually seep in and try to change it.

The victorious industrialized North treated the totally defeated treasonous leaders of the rural South with great leniency after the Civil War; no mass executions, imprisonments or property seizures. If the "old country folks" you are talking about are really thinking of a repeat of that treason they had better consider how likely it will be that the industrialized high technology states will again be so generous.

I don't know where you read your history about no imprisonments or property seizures. There was actually a great deal of both, members of my family included, thank you very much.

My grandad used to call it the war of "Northern Agression". He said when the Southern soldiers realized, after whipping the North in the first few battles, they might have to occupy the North they quit fighting, the only bad thing was dumb Yankees did'nt realize it for 3 years.

So America is a story of the unlikely happening and the underdog coming through and winning. However, the "Real Americans" are those republicans who supported the favorite and then proceeded to bash the underdog when he won?

It was a states rights issue, not treason and ironically, 143 years later we still have the feds needing their arses kicked out of state business.

I wonder which side the "industrialized" firearms and ammunition manufacturers would choose?

Besides, it isn't a metter of the industrialNorth Vs. ruralSouth. It is a matter of people all across the countrythat believe in what this country was founded onagainst those that seek out to systematically break down everything this country was founded on.

Not even close. He belongs on the side of those that are trying to break down this countries foundation one piece at a time.
