Sarah Palin left the national stage Wednesday, but the controversy over her role on the ticket flared as aides to John McCain disclosed new details about her expensive wardrobe purchases and revealed that a Republican Party lawyer would be dispatched to Alaska to inventory and retrieve the clothes still in her possession.

I remember hearing abuot this on all of the networks a few weeks ago. It was reported at the time the clothes would be auctioned off.

I look forward to seeing more of sara palin, but I'd be very surprised if she appointed herself to the Senate if Stevens is 'chunked'. I am hearing the story of the lawyers being sent to Ak to reclaim RNC's wardrobe is malarkey, along with so many other stories cropping up 'ex post facto'. I find it hard to believe (no, damn impossible to believe) that sarah's shortcomings would not have come to light during the dems' savaging of palin during the campaign. What I DO find revolting, is McCain's silence on the issue. He shut down criticism of Osama's race-hate, discouraged talk about osama's terrorist buddies, and never even mentioned the 'rezko affiliation'. Yet he's strangely silent here...to me it's just another reason why it is a good thing he lost the election...he did not deserve to win. (That's not to say the current pillager is any more deserving or qualified...he sucks too).
