I need help understanding the "share the wealth program" that Obama wants.. I smell socialism here in a way, but Im not posting this to bash, I seriously want answers to this plan.. my questions are... is he punishing the people who make 250 G's or more, what is he going to give to the less fortunate? Who exactly gets it? and Why is he doing it?? please respond only if you have a serious answer.

First of all, BHO, like many others is confusing money with wealth. The gubment can write a check, but they cannot make anyone wealthy. Wealth is what you do with the money you have. People have to generate their own wealth, no one else can do it for them.

One demographic set to get some money (be it directly or indirectly) is folks who want to go to college but do not have the financial ability to do so
That would be great, and he promised it. But I would not holdmy breath. Ive heard about college tuition reform for years, but no one can do it. I bet a hundred dollars agianst a hole in a donute that he forgets that promise pretty quick. Im not trying to sound bitter. Id love to get help with my kids college. I could use there college funds to buy them something nice, or keep it to help them pay on their first morgage.

His tax plan will give a tax cut to about 90% of tax payers according to independent tax analysis groups.
I don't see anything socialist about giving tax cuts to the majority of taxpayers - in fact it is the right thing to do.
Folks will keep more of their own money, have more to spend and to save - which may stimulate the economy.

Exactly--it's not a tax cut for the 40-45% who don't pay taxes, it's welfare paid off the backs of those who work.

As Obama tried to explain to Joe (the plumber), if you make too much money, you will have to give an extra portion of it to the government, through taxes. The government will then give it to someone else via a tax credit. It doesn't matter that the recipient paid no taxes. It's not a tax break. It's not a refund. Technically, it's a "credit." But you can call it the redistribution of funds, welfare, Robin hood-ism, Marxism, socialism, punishment for success/reward for sloth...
It scares me that the American Dream is being replaced.
Lest we all forget, no politician ever "gave" something to anyone without taking it from someone else. "Redistribution of wealth" is a socialist term, and always has been, no respectable capitalist would ever give away money without expecting a return of some sort such as a tax deduction. I'm also reminded that the rich and corporations can easily afford much better lawyers and accountants than the majority of us, they won't lose anything without a fight, and will probably just divest themselves of assets and move even more money and jobs offshore to avoid the "redistribution".
