Anybody see carl cameron on fox news (fair and balanced) this morning? The republicans have begun the blame game with Gov Palin the brunt of the assaults. Unbelievable.[&o] Republicans still just don't get it do they? The American right stood up and slapped the republican moderates in the face and they blame Palin? Is their anybody in the republican party that gets it? Here we go, theslithering to the left by republicans, and another lost election cycle coming up. Man i am so disgusted with the republican partyI could scream. It's 11 in the mornin here and I am ready to open a bottle of JamesonReserve and not even bother with the ice.[:@][:@]
Palin was essentially a "break-even" selection. She helped to bolster support among the far right Christian Conservatives, but lost McCain ground with many of the more liberal leaning moderates. McCain lost because Obama ran a very good campaign, McCain ran a sucky campaign, anda significant percentage of the population would have voted forRonald McDonald as long as he wasn't a Republican.

as long as he serves up SOme yummy Chicken McNuggets and BBQ dippin sauce for everyones lunchtime onMondays....he gets my vote[8D]
I vote for establishing a Two-fer Tuesday McRib Special.
I ate a McRib the other day for the First time since in probably 10-15 years.....it was really quite suckey and i think id been better off sticking with the McChicken for a DOLLAR.

It's for reasons like this one (and plenty more) that I am not a Republican. I seldom agree with Rush Limbaugh but I'm wondering if he isn't right about the party being hijacked by moderates who are afraid of what Palin can do.

You saying the far right din't vote for McCain and stayed home?
Exit polling may be an inexact science, but the polls also offer a fascinating look at what shaped the election. Take a look at 'em . . .
The story is told in the exit polls, of which i am hearing nothing about incedentally. Charlie, go study the polls. I PMed steve a site but i can't remember it right now, it is worth a look.
Of course they'll assasinate Palin. Why? Because they can't admit and deal with the truth that McCain/Bush's policies are viewed as failures in a majority of voters minds. That's what the voters rejected, the failed policies and the politics of fear. Palin was an non-issue, side-show-freak that amounted to little more than a cute distraction - folks voted their pocket books and their hearts, not for some Neiman Marcus fashion queen.
