I have several unanswered questions. One being, who really will see a tax cut? (I'd like to see predictions) What is affordable healthcare? People refuse today to pay $500/mo (or less)for healthcare, what would you call affordable and if they refuse to pay that it's tough Dolly Partons? Obama said he was going to eliminate capital gains tax on small business. What does that really mean? What capital gain does a business really have other than selling property? Does this mean I can liquidate my rental properties and not pay taxes? (Very tempting) The real question is minimum wage. Obama feels the nation grows from the bottom up. This BS that he's going to mail a $500 to $1000 check to 47 million who don't pay taxes in the first place is really going to make a difference. So since he is determined to grow this country from the bottom up and the Dems complained the last recent increase wasn't enough, will we see a $14 minimum? $17? $20? I ask this because the left throws out the there are families being raised on minimum and what they get isn't enough. What do you expect the minimum to be?

How can anyone survive on that? Why not make it $20? Wouldn't someone be able to live better?

You may get answers to those questions as soon as osama figures it out. He campaigned on change but turned out to be the most typical politician that I have ever seen. He couldn't began to remember all the different answers he had depending on who was asking. It's been a long campaign but I have no idea what he plans to do as he never really offered ant substance, just a smooth tongue which won't get it done.
It will be a surprise and mostly to those who thought they knew him.

I guess they'll survive on it by a big flow of money into Food Stamps, health care benefits, and Section 8 housing. Oh, and a G.I. Bill worth $80000.
Fact is there FD3, they don't take into account the 20k+ of frebbies the government gives anyone below the make believe poverty line.

Just what this country needs........more minimum wage hikes.
Each time minimum wage is increased businesses raise the prices of their goods and services.
I majored in Economics and Finance and did a study on this very topic. When minimum wage increases the net value for the recipient is actually lower than before the increase was given.
I run several restaurants and each time the minimum wage is increased guess what I have to do? Yep, raise my prices in order to maintain my profit margins in order to pay my bills. What will end up happening if it continues to go higher? I will begin laying off employees therefore resulting in poor serviceand probably (definitely) loss of business.
If I can keep expenses low then I can afford to build my business and thereby hire more employees. With increased minimum wages it mutes my ability to move forward.
How much are you willing to spend for a hamburger?
Mr, Flying, I have very close ties to your industry. I have Chef's in my family. I understand your pain and for the record, I don't support any minimum wage. You get paid what you agreed to accept in return for your labor. I pose this question to my Democrat friends on this forum. How come no one wants to answer my above questions? How come no one wants to answer this minimum wage question? How come minimum wage is only an issue when Republicans are in the position to block it? Why not make it an issue tomorrow? The Dems will control everything after Jan?

I say it is going to be $12/hr in 2years putting unskilled workers at $23040 a year, the halfway mark for his "spread the wealth" plan. in the mean time, small biz will close there doors because they won't make because of min wage.
4 to 8 years $20/hour with 41600*****right at the "spread the wealth" plan
all numbers are figured at 40hour weeks.
