Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Are you bitter or American?

For the better part of a decade many people in the Republican party used the iraq war and corresponding events to doubt the patriotism of many Americans. Many feeble minded followers used the same tactics on their peers. I ask now that many of you are in disagreement with where you think the country is headed; Are you going to be bitter or are you going to be American. It would be easy to simply denounce Obama, but it will take strength to support him and help our nation. If you truely want to help i challenge you to take part in constructive behavior. I am not asking you to be a fan of Obama. The behavior I have witnessed within 12 hours of the election being called is downright dispicable. THis behavior is expected to a degree but as history shows us often times this type of reactionary action is viewed very negetively as time passes. The blatant racism is hilariously dumb. There is not a person on this board that didn't come from somwhere else yet you lay claim to rights other americans who came after you shouldn't have.

Those of you acting so childish....I don't blame you. I blame the savy, hate filled, messeges that have brainwashed you into thinking your life is over. The process is what it is, and even your candidate thinks we are in good hands. The problem is he never took what he said as gospel. The people he was talking to did. Its the nature of the beast. They have to divide us to win, but they can go back to their normal life when it is over and they don't really care about the rammifications fo their actions. Ask yourself, If John McCain is ok with it why aren't you?

i'm nearly 70 years old and haveno reasonat all to be bitter. In 1952 i saw the Republicans take the white house for the first time in 20 years. The pendulum never sticks to the right or the left forever. Sooner or later it will swing the other way. Just wish that it would stay in the middle for awhile.

As I replied to Korak, I couldn't care less if Obama was the color of a baboon's ass, that means nothing to me. What bothers me is that even Palin was better qualified to lead this country than that empty suit with the big words from Chicagoland. His lips moved constantly, but all I heard was blah...change...blah,blah...hope...change...change ...blah,blah...change... When a politician blathers without defining what was said the red flags go up immediately.

Hmm, you label folks as childish, feebleminded, and racist, but then lecture them about constructive behavior. Sounds likeweare infor 4 to 8 years of the same crap, just a different party....[].

I am an American and as much as I disagree with Obama I will respect him and the office he holds,I will also respect the wishes of my fellow Americans who voted him into office.Like has been stated the pendulum NEVER stays to the right or left very long it has to swing back.

I'm a disgruntled American. My guess is that he won't accomplish half his promises, lied about cutting taxes for those making $250 k or less because he will INCREASE their taxes, and will not be the GOD people seem to think. Still, I will agree with good decisions and policies he makes and let him have his shot at living up to his campaign rhetoric.

I'm not bitter. I am just worried that Obama will start fulfilling some of his promises, and we will edge ever closer to socialism. My main concern is that in 2010, my taxes will go back up to what they were under Clinton.

I suspect that you are a young'un and as such are allowed an emotional response to the circumstances of the day, but eventually I hope you realize how rediculous that statement is.

This whole election has been one slap in the face after another. In four years maybe things will be right again. But after I have put my life on the line....more than once to save the people of this country....To see them do this to themselves....It is like a parent watching their child slowly destroy their lives with drugs, violence, etc....
