Its hard to say this far out, but I dont see the Republican party letting Palin or her polarizing evangelical ilk anywhere near the helm in the near future. I expect to see a move to center-right in the party, and a purge of some of the Religious-nut social issues, and a return to fiscal conservatism as the central talking point. I'd say the end of the Bush term marks an end to the neocon, big-government, social issues first republican brand. Small govenrment, hands-off freedoms/social issues(let the states handle them), financially tight fisted republicans will e the ones to win office after a few years of democrat.
Republicans should hope that she goes away and disappears to Alaska. She didn't help McCain one tiny bit! She turned away any of the moderate voters who might have given McCain their vote.

100% agree! The religious side of the republican party drove the rest of America to vote for someone as radical as Obama. Them along with Bush are the ones to blame for this most of all. When you have states like Ohio and PA go overwhelmingly against someone like McCain you know something is drastically wrong with the republican party.
She started like a wildfire, then her substance showed lacking. Biden and her were a good debate, neither one matters anymore!
