Obama wins Dixville Notch, NH
The tiny town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire has a long tradition of being the first community in the country to vote and report its results in presidential elections. All registers voters gather right after mid-night and vote. As expected, this rural NH hamlet is heavily Republican. A Democrat has not won there since 1968. Bush won it 21 to 5 in 2000 and 19 to 6 in 2000 and 2004 respectively. This year the results were Barrack Obama 21 votes, John McCain 6 votes.
