Coulter saidthat if McCain was the Republican candidate that she would campaign for Hillary. Limbaugh trashed McCain. Hannity spouted venom about McCain then backed him.
Is it any wonder that McCain is behind in the polls?

First of all, you should quit listening to those three. Coulter completely lost her mind a few years ago, and that adam's apple makes me wonder things about her that I probably should not wonder.
Rush is a druggie who routinely takes trips to the Dominican Republic and Thailand...gee I wonder what he does that for? Sicko.
Hannity adheres to the debate style that when you cannot win on points, just yell and win on volume. I guarantee you will be dumber for watching Hannity's debate style.
The real reason McCain is behind is because Bush was a complete failure in the eyes of 80% of Americans. Being Republican this year is not fun. McCain also made a crappy VP pick. OH, the base loves her, but the base is not the rest of America. Remember the rule after the primaries...you swing to the middle. This pick, Palin, she was a huge pander to the religious right of this country, and it alienated a lot of people. He also ran a pretty crappy campaign. Lots of smear and negativity, pretty thin on new ideas, policies, etc.

+1
When Mccain loses he'll have no one to blame but himself. As has been pointed out here 100000s of times Obama has a lot of suspect acquaintances and skeletons in the closet, McCain was unable to exploit any of these. Also, in his selection of Palin he erased any chance he would have had to attack Obama on his lack of experience. Like Alasaka said, it was just a poorly run campaign on his part.

The problem with you boys and your Palin-bashing is that it just doesn't add up. Do you think Obama's selection of Biden was a swing to the middle? That Biden wasn't a pander to the left? He's rated the 3rd most liberal member of the Senate. If Palin is a "crappy" VP pick for the reasons you mentioned, Biden is an equally "crappy" pick.

Wrong. Obama hit a grand slam in selecting Biden as the man is about as highly respected as they come when dealing with foreign policy and affairs. What was Obama's weak point? Foreign affairs. Obama addressed his weakness in his pick, McCain simply had to respond to Obama's surge at that time and needed something that would take the focus of Obama. And, there for a short period, it looked as though his pick was going to do just that, however, then they let her talk. Independents and undecided voters alike agree that Palin has repeatedly shown her ignorance on too many topics to be considered a good choice. Biden may not be a "swing to the middle" but he is also not incompetent which is what Palin has shown her self to be over and over again.

Absolutely not true. Obama stated that he lacked a lot of foreign policy experience, and stated that he would pick a VP who was very stron in that department. Thus Joe Biden. You see, one candidate used their VP pick as an honest attempt to shore up weakness real or perceived and compliment the ticket. The other picked a wildly inexperienced woman to try to pander to the religious right and the PUMAs. I suppose the argument could be made that McCain wanted to balance the ticket with youth and vitality, but there are a lot of others who would have fit that bill. Plus, the obvious choice, Mitt Romney would have shored up McCain's self-described weakness in the economic front.
Palin has had an EASY run as governor. When she took over, the price of a barrel of oil was up above the $38 break-even point for the budget. Frank Murkowski, her predacesor had huge budget shortfall because oil was down in the mid twenties. Even I could govern easily and effectively if my budget was well above the requirements.
If fact, it was so excessive, she gave everyone a $1200 "energy" rebate this year because the cofferes were overflowing and by her own words "we need to spread some of this oil money around to the citizens of the state". GASP! I just realized that Sarah Palin is a socialist!!! She doesn't just say she is going to spread the wealth, she actually DID IT!

Give me a break. Palin had one terrible interview on CBS, and you base your incompetence evaluation on that one interview. Biden has had so many gaffes it stopped being funny by mid October.

McCain's weakness was that he couldn't rally his base. His VP effort was an effort to achieve that.
I still have a good chuckle every time I see one of you guys try to paint Palin as inexperienced. Let's see: McCain chose a running mate who was wildly inexperienced. The Democratic Party picked a nominee who was wildly inexperienced. Hmmm...

LMAO. Yeah, that's how I would define socialism, too.

Iassure you that i do not listen to any of them by choice. At work it is nearly impossible to ignore the crap because most guys are military retirees and they get all their news from the crazy trio.
