Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Subject: 'Twas the night before elections'Twas the night before electionsAnd all through the townTempers were flaringEmotions all up and down! I, in my bathrobeWith a cat in my lapHad cut off the TVTired of political crap. When all of a suddenThere arose such a noiseI peered out of my windowSaw Obama and his boys They had come for my walletThey wanted my payTo give to the othersWho had not worked a day! He snatched up my moneyAnd quick as a wink</ST

Jumped back on his bandwagonAs I gagged from the stink He then rallied his henchmenWho were pulling his cartI could tell they were outTo tear my country apart! ' On Fannie, on Freddie, On Biden and Ayers! On Acorn, On Pelosi'He screamed at the pairs! They took off for his causeAnd as he flew out of sightI heard him laugh at the nationWho wouldn't stand up and fight! So I leave you to thinkOn this one final note-IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISMGET OUT AND VOTE!!!![/align]

The only problem I see with that story is that Socialism is already here.

If nationalized banks and a descimated first ammendment arent the trapings ofof Socialism, I dont know what is.

The 'trappings' of socialism are not the same as living in a socialist state. Obama is a socialist, and he leads a cadre of bloodsucking theives who are hell-bent on removing the wealth of those who have worked for what they have. To the originator of this thread, for creativity and verbosity well beyond the ken of democrats.... BRAVO ! FORTISSIMO BRAVO !!!

If Nationalized Banks, secret prisons, a suspended Writ of Habeas Corpus, and the Patriot Act aren't signs we are living in an increasingly Authoritarian, increasingly Socialist nation, please explain to me what I should be on the lookout for???

The**** thats been pulled in the last 20-30 years by the federal government reeks of Authoritarianism and Socialism; or at leastto this guy it does.

well then vote for Obama and then you can do a before/after study on the 'trappings of socialism' compared with the 'practice and execution of socialism' on ex-capitalist countries.
