Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Election-Time Rant

I went in to vote early today, since I have plans to be in the woods on election day. No problem there, I just went in to the office and saw Mr. X and his wife there doing the same thing. I have known the X's for a long time and played HS football with one of their sons. When he stepped up to vote, the lady called him Mr Y, and handed his card back to him. I know this is not his name, yet he got to vote under it, and I am certain he will vote again under his real name if he hasn't already.

This wouldn't have been so bad, but just last month on the way thru town, my wife saw a voter registration sign outside the parish WIC office, and pulled in to register to vote. I asked her last week if she had her voter registration card yet, and she didn't have it. So I called up the registrar to see if they had her on the books. She was not.

So while I was in the registrar's office today, I told her about both incidents. She told me the WIC office had not registered a single white voter, and my wife was one of several complaints she had already. She already knew Mr. X/Y was not who he said he was, but she had to let him vote first before anything could be done. She isn't looking forward to the post-election counting process at all.

Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? We aren't exactly a battleground state here, but if folks are getting multiple votes here, it's got to be going on everywhere. This makes me sick. I'm thinking ACORN may be the tip of a very large iceberg.

I was waiting for this BT...Thank you....Mind if I jump on your bandwagon ? Here goes....

this can be a fire drill just waiting to happen. If I was McCain, I'd be looking to validate every vote,
from every precinct, in every township, in every county, in every state. I'd be looking to prosecute each
criminal (yes, that's what they are) who voted under assumed/fraudulent names; fines and jail time. ANd I'd go after each one....make 'em work for the RNC. Get their votes tossed...hell.....invalidate the entire election wherever fraud is found and make 'em do it over. Too over the top ? Is usurping the electoral process not important ? I think convictions should include lifetime revocation of their voting privileges,
and while we're at it, let the cops knuckle their heads on the way down to be booked.....just for kicks....

ACORN and allied folks have been up to their usual mischief here in Ohio. In addition, just a few days ago a number of out-of-state Obama supporters were caught voting illegally as Ohio residents. One of their spokemen said that this was due to a misunderstanding of complex residency requirements. However, the requirements are actually very clearly spelled out. There have also beenunsubstanitated reports of Obamasupporters visiting McCain supporters in their homes as part of an alleged new "vote from home" program where people just hand their ballots over to those who visit their homes. The ballots end up in the trash, yet the McCain supporters think that they have actually cast their vote.
I would assume that there is someunderhanded stuffoccurring in the Republican campas well, but the Dems get caught at it so often that it makes you wonder.

Just another good reason for a voter I.D. card.

I have been told from some hunting buddies that they have seen the same thing going on here in Nevada.

Funny that folks scream bloody murder about being required to produce ID to vote, but ask that same person to provide photo ID to sign up for food stamps and they cant do it fast enough[&:]

Easy there Lanse, some folks might call you a racist for saying that. Just a thought, if the same widespread fraud was happening, and it was benefitting the republicans, how much press and investigating would be taking place?? I'd be willing to bet the Obama Campaign would want the election postponed until everything could be sorted out.

What got under my skin the most was Mr. X. I have known his family for a good while and they are all decent people. Before today, if I had compiled a list of people who would try a stunt like this, his name would not have been on it. I want to know what made him want this election outcome so badly that he would do something like this. Next time I see him at Piggly-Wiggly, he's gonna have some questions to answer.

Most of my comments about welfare recipients are directed toward whites, including some of my neighbors and folks in my family. The spokesman for the Obama folks who admitted to the illegal voting was white. But, i think that it is safe to say that plenty of folks on the far left would spin my comments as racist anyway.[]
