Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Why don't you write more about "Bush's next stimulus package?" Oh yeah, you fail to comprehend much. It's the Dem's own stimulus package that you were slamming. LOL!!!

What? Did Teresa Heinz Kerry dress in a burlap during the '04 election? I think not, but I also don't recall her wardrobe being an issue in 2004. Man, how times change! I'll tell you one thing THAT'S change you can believe in, right there!

Letting folks find out that you dropped $150K on a fashion shopping spree for your VP candidate is just not a wise move at this point no matter which side you are on.

That's true. Pretty dumb, IMO, to spend that much money on clothing when you're having to cut back on campaign ads in battleground states because cash is scarce.

I also wonder how many struggling middle American families would sympathize with the fact that Joe Biden has about $20,000 or more tied up in his hair plugs.

Or how the RNC's $150,000 budget for Palin's wardrobe stacks up for the bill the DNC spent to build Obama's elaborate stage at the convention.

But for some reason the MSM is only focused on one of these aspects. Gee, I wonder why that is?

I think that people in general would be pretty unhappy if they had a detailed accounting of how their contributions to any candidate are spent.

I know I'm pretty unhappy about how my "contributions" to the IRS are spent...

I think so, too.

Let's face it: From John Edwards' $400 haircuts to Hillary Clinton's various over-the-top expenditures to Palin's multi-thousand dollar makeup session to Barack Obama's Greek columns, politicians are extravagent to the point of downright silliness. It's just shocking -- well, not really at all -- that the media focuses on Palin while ignoring the other side of it.

I agree on that. I think it was a calculated decision that is backfiring. The campaign was probably banking on Palin's appearance. It's well documented that attractive women in our society get a lot more attention, and from being a waitress to a lawyer, preferential treatment. Having a former beauty contestant probably got some campaign organizer thinking ... "spare no expense. Play up her beauty..."

Just my take on it.

Of course the crazy thing is that most guys are just gonna notice that the woman is in a tight black dress and could care less if it cost $2K at Macy's or $200 at Sears.
