$175,000?
That's a little short of the $800,000 plus that Obama gave to Acorn to canvas voters, isn't it?

So the amount is what's important? The point I was trying to make is that both major parties try to register voters in areas that they think will help them win an election. That is perfectly fair and legal for them to do, as long as they turn in every registration form they receive. They are not allowed to decide which forms to turn in and which forms to discard. By law they must turn in every form theyget. So some prankster turns in a form that says Mickey Mouse or a dumb canvasser turns informs for the entire Dallas Cowboys football team or 72 forms for himself. It would still be illegal for ACORN to not turn them in. ACORN management tried to help county voter registration officials by identifying these obviously fraudulentforms and submitting them separately. There is nothing wrong with that. It would be wrong if they gave a bonus for each democratic form a canvasser turned in. It would be wrong for them to fire a canvasser who turned in a republican form. The dollar amount does not matter. What matters is what these organizations do once they are paid.
The difference between ACORN and Sproul's firm is how their management acted. ACORN's canvassers turned ina few fraudulent forms. ACORN's management did the right thing. Theyidentified them as suchand submitted them as required by law. The management of Sproul's firm was responsible for the fraud perpetrated by them.
