short term fix, long term problem...aren't they supposed to sunset in the next couple years and taxes will go up by 10% or so?

Thank you for confirming your ignorance of the subject. The estate tax portion of the reform was but a fraction of the cuts provided.
For example, can you tell me what percentage decrease the
lowest wage earners in America received as a result of the Bush tax cuts?
I'll be you can't come up with the right answer even if you research it, because you don't know one end from the other. Apparently that does not stop you from mouthing the lies you've been fed.
Learn to think for yourself and most of all,
know what you are talking about before you post. This board is peppered with people who do all that and more. You seem like a good guy from what I've read, but to retain any credibility here, you'd best be prepared to back up what you post and you'll need a whole lot more than your last response.
By the way, are you aware of how many ordinary, everyday people were nailed by the estate tax rules prior to the Bush cuts? Do you have any clue at all? Are you even aware of the effect of the Bush tax cuts for you personally? Before you answer, you better be able to at least provide your marginal tax bracket before and after. Otherwise, here's your peanuts and over there...that is your seat in the Peanut Gallery. Sit down, shut up, and listen. You might just hear the truth for a change.
