Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Bush's Next Stimulus Package

Are you better off than you were 8 years ago.

Wow, welfare from Bush and Company. I thought that was only for the Defense Companies, Oil Companies and those making over $250,000 per year.

I thought his tax breaks would have taken care of all of this???????????

The republican world is over, thank god since we cant afford any more welfare.

Is it not a fact that we will now reach a trillion dollars to bail out the economy that had as it's chief Dubya and his managers ran the show for 6 of the last 8 years.

My company would have fired him and his managers a long time ago.

Care to discuss the Bush tax cuts, Will, or is this just another of your dull post and run threads?

Funny... the main mistake made by Bush, to hurt the economy, has been his LIBERAL SPENDING!!!

What most people dont understand is the Keyesian economics behind these 'bailouts'... the gov't is doing the exact opposite of what it did in the late 1920's... Increasing the money supply, which creates inflation that stops the currentdeflation (house prices falling, wages fall, etc)... I disagree w/ the entire Fed system and dont think it is truely a free market, however since we have the Fed, we might as well let them keep us out of a depression and prop the system up until the next crisis.

think of it this way. You're 1 payment away from loosing your house and loosing your car but you cant make that payment. and if you loose those two things you lose your job. But you have 15k in available credit, would you use that credit to sustain yourself? Seriously people its almost that simple just on a national scale...

HOWEVER, another stimulus package wont be effective, they need to pump that money into commercial paper markets.... This is pelosi trying to buy some votes she lost for supporting the first bailout.

also..

WillCZ - You do realize that your hero Nancy Pelosi is the one pushing for a stimulus, and in fact bush was against it!!!

So you're saying you disagree w/ the dems on this? or that you just hate bush? Which is it?

Thank you for confirming your ignorance of the subject. The estate tax portion of the reform was but a fraction of the cuts provided.

For example, can you tell me what percentage decrease the lowest wage earners in America received as a result of the Bush tax cuts?

I'll be you can't come up with the right answer even if you research it, because you don't know one end from the other. Apparently that does not stop you from mouthing the lies you've been fed.

Learn to think for yourself and most of all, know what you are talking about before you post. This board is peppered with people who do all that and more. You seem like a good guy from what I've read, but to retain any credibility here, you'd best be prepared to back up what you post and you'll need a whole lot more than your last response.

By the way, are you aware of how many ordinary, everyday people were nailed by the estate tax rules prior to the Bush cuts? Do you have any clue at all? Are you even aware of the effect of the Bush tax cuts for you personally? Before you answer, you better be able to at least provide your marginal tax bracket before and after. Otherwise, here's your peanuts and over there...that is your seat in the Peanut Gallery. Sit down, shut up, and listen. You might just hear the truth for a change.

yeah, Pelosi wants another stimulus, and Obama claims to cut taxes for the lowest 95%, because the top 5% of wage earners who pay 75% of all taxes paid don't pay enough.

The only thing worse than a republican is a democrat!
