Barack Obama has campaigned for months on the idea that we should've never been in Iraq to start with. Today he says that Colin Powell will be a key advisor in his administration. Powell was the man who pitched the notion to the world that we should be in Iraq.
FWIW, I don't think Powell did anything wrong, because I think there was evidence to support everything the Bush administration said. However, if Obama's stance is that the Iraq war was wrong, why should he be making Powell a key advisor?

on the theory that if he botched it, maybe he learned from his mistakes? or (based upon my speculation solely), that Powel argued against the war either as fought orin it's entirety, but was a team player, and supported his boss's decision (i do believe powell has said he advised against the invasion)?
or maybe he just thinks it's really cool that powell was made aof the Knight of the Bath, and wants someone in the whitehouse he can call "Sir Colin"
