Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

But sir, Iraq is the biggestbattleground inthe "war against terror." If we leave now the Shiites that we put in power will start slaughtering the Sunnis and Christians. Oh, heck, i forgot; they are alreadyslaughtering the Christians.

Looks to me like good ole democracy in action! People arguing about the best way to run their country. I don't know any place else in the world where the citizens get into heated debates & engage on protests when they disagree with their gov't.

BTW, we're fighting terror over there so that we don't haveto fight itover here.

Um, that's just Al-Sadr's group, it's called a political faction, not all of them support our views, many do.

I don't see how this thread has an argument.

Just exactly how many SECONDS do you think this or any protest in downtown Baghdad would have lasted under Saddam's rule?

A workable, inexpensive Iraq exit plan:

1. Seize all oil income from the nation of Iraq and hold it in trust.

2. Tell the Iraqis they can have the money when they can self-govern and the American forces have pulled out.

As long as we are there doing the grunt work, and they are getting paid, Iraq will never be self-sufficient.
