Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Solution

Tensions around here are wound up tighter than a guitar string with everyone bickering over who's going to be the best candidate for president.

It isn't good to get this tense right at hunting season time, so I have a solution. Let's cancel the election and give Bush 4 more years.

Anyone agree?

I know I'm going to get crucified for it, but altogether, Bush is a good President. There's problems, and there always will be, but it could be so much worse, we're not fighting a war on our soil and getting suicide bombed once a month, we're not starving to death, and our taxes haven't gone through the roof. Might I add our gun rights are safe.

I think another 4 years is worth fighting for.....oh well, Ijust woke up.

And we can still make more money if we work harder, instead of having it taken away and given to someone who doesn't want to work for a living.

nahhh...I think I'll take my chances with Obama this time. I tried that route twice and don't like the results that I've gotten so far...[&:]

Take your chances, eh ? Hmm...
I'll take a different tack. How has the bush presidency affected you, DIRECTLY. Don't give me any of that BS about anything other than how this administration has effected you personally and directly.

I know my wages have increased under Bush II, and until the democrat-precipitated financial crisis, my financial holdings also increased. Also, under Bush II, I can keep my guns becuase the Supreme Court decided on a non-revisionist interpretation of the bill of rights, by ONE vote. Under Obama, I can look forward to gun control (he's 100% anti-gun on every issue he ever voted on regarding gun-rights issues), increased taxes when I sell my home, increased wage taxes, increased taxes on my dividends, the bartering of my rights away in international treaties, the emboldening of my enemies (and increased likelihood of domestic attack), the further loss of American jobs and the continued erosion of our manufacturing base due to higher corporate taxes to be levied, and the flight of American businesses to overseas HQ to escape opressive domestic taxation. Under Obama I can look forward to the appointment of two or possibly more Supreme Court justices who believe in the elasticity of our charter and who have no problem legislating from the bench to our detriment. Hmm... NOt a good choice. Seems to me, only an IDIOT would actually CHOOSE that for themselves...but if the shoe fits....

may i suggest an alternative?

i believe in Rome, the emperor caligula atone time had a favored horse named to the senate. we could do something similar here. the horse could assume the presidency, and policy would be determined by a derivation of "horse bingo". if the horse plops on the "bailout" square, there would be a bailout. plopping on the "no bailout" would mean wall street is left to its own devices. horse poops on "gun control" we have gun control.

don't like the horse's gun control decision? take it to the supreme court, except (don't stop me, i'm on a roll) the supreme courtis replaced by 9 monkeys. lawyers could proffer their arguments, the monkeys would fling poo, and the winner would be the attorney with less poop on him or her.

itis admittedly astupid idea, but CSPAN ratings would increase.
