Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

...is not synonomous with progress. IMO, Socialism is a step backward.

I agree, but when the obama koolaid flows deep enough to pollute the minds of many on even a hunting, or as obama would call it, a "bitter clinger" forum ,I think socalism is inevidable.

Oh well best we can do is watch it all crumble and try to rebuild after these fools finally learn their lesson.

It's not just your opinion eto, it's a fact. Some folks just can't grasp that.

What bothers me about Obama is that he might bring in government into our culture, and family life.

I mean, I won't deny it, government has an effect on our culture, but there's always a point when it seems distant, and it doesn't matter so much to our 5 senses. But with Obama trying to introduce these civilian security forces that "will be just as funded" as our military, I don't exactly think that will be unnoticed. Is it some national militia? Some youth squad? I don't want it, give some restless people with no ambition, power, and they'll just harrass liberty. Imagine, getting pulled over at 10:00PM on the road by a youth squad, having to open up the trunk, and they start fooling around with your gadgets, and see how loud your radio is, then fine you for something that's not up-to-date, and then start hitting on your teen daughter, and you're stuck there for an hour. Sound familiar? Well, it's a bit of a German reality back in the day.

I sound weird, but I simply don't want this to happen, because there really won't be a sufficient way to get rid of it. I don't want the government forcing me to do community service when I: A. Didn't volunteer to,or B. I didn't commit a crime.

I'm patriotic,it's not that I have something against community service, I believe I'll serve my country much better if I get educated first, and get into ministry, or whatever God wants me to do.

I am shocked at the number of people who believe education, home ownership, jobs and health care are Rights .... because they believe them to be Rights, they flow towards socialism where anyone above you on the food chain needs to pay you to bring them down to your level and allow you to have what they have, whether you earned it or not because its a RIGHT that everyone should have.

They believe this, I **** you not ..........

Socialism on a large scale USSR was an abject failure and on a smaller scale Western europe was a failure. Realize these countries didn't spend one iota on Defense because the US paid their bill and they still could not afford these programs. Yet and I repeat yet we have countless idiots that post here that are so called "sportsmen","gunowners" and act like this is the change we need. The change we need is to go back to fiscal responsibility, something our previous president failed to do as does congress and the senate on a daily basis.
