Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Preparing for Obama to Win

Well guys it is beginning to look like Obama is going to win. Just imagine the problems that will occur.

Inflation will rise
The Dollar Will become Weaker
Oil Prices will skyrocket due to Gov't mistakes
We will be less respected internationally
Banks will have problems due to policies stifling the economy.
Unemployment will rise
Defecit spending will occur
Large government programs will be put in place
Health Care costs will skyrocket!!
Civil liberties and rights will be taken away!!

Oh wait a minute, I take that back that is what just happened over the past 8 years with Bush and all of the Republicans in control.

Counting the days here until we can start to turn this around

I'm not so sure. I was thinking that ACORN might tie a millstone around his neck. That kinda thing is a direct threat to the constitution.

Of course if he gets in do you thing he will be able to make more money off of land deals as POTUS, even after drop in realestate, or did he make more as a senator on land deals ?

that he kept making
again and again
over the
course of

#1: I do not concede that Obama will win.

#2: Looking at how things stand today, if nothing changes, it looks like Obama may win.

#3: I admit that #2 fills me with anxiety, but I'm an adult and I have lived through other disadvantageous political eras and circumstances. When confronted with a reality I cannot alter -- reference #2 -- I try to take a positive view of things and think about why everything should turn out well rather than poorly. First, Obama will not be able to operate unchecked or independently. Suppose that the worst happens and Obama has a override-proof majority in House and Senate, I hope that Democrats may behave with more circumspection and decent consideration for the concerns of their opposition than was evidenced by the Republicans. If this is the case, perhaps we will not be taken too far down the wrong path -- the path of viciously restrictive gun control legislation, the path of punishing tax increases that will damage the fragile economy, the path of increased entitlement programs, the path of activist supreme courtjusticesand US judges (the president doesn't just appoint supreme court justices, I think he also appoints federal judges -- someone correct me if I am wrong). I take some solace in contemplation of the fact that the US government is like a huge ocean going vessel which continues to go in substantially the same direction for a long time before responding slowlyto changed steerage commands. I reflect on the prospects that if the Democrats pursue their liberal agendas too assertively, we will not be burdened with their majorities overly long, as the public will soon see them for what they are and vote them out of office.

#4: Notwithstanding, make no mistake about it, I will be going to the polls and casting my vote both for McCain and for US Senator Cornyn of Texas on the fateful day. If Obama plans to win, he better be sure his contingents exercise the self-discipline to bring it to the polls on election day -- rain or shine -- because it isn't enough to win in the Gallup and the Nielson polls running up to the election.
