Already passed it. That's part of the vetting process. If they are following usual practice, both candidates have been receiving top level security briefings since their party conventions.
edit: On second thought, I take part of that back. I don't think Presidential candidates have to pass a security clearance. But if there is anything REAL (meaning not imagined or invented by the opposition) in their background that would prevent one from getting clearance, it would come out in the primaries and that person would not become a candidate.
