Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Debates???

What did you think of them?

For me, a toothless dog fight comes to mind.

I liked the way McCain acted in the first debate and was shocked that the pundits said he lost, but thought he wasn't on the mark in the second. I kind of got sick of hearing his same rhetoric and catch phrases come out. Use them too often and it gets old. He appeared old to me and Obama looked quite poised and in control. To be honest I hate to vote for either one of them. Neither candidate inspires confidence in my eyes. Unless something drastic happens I am afraid we will have a DEM in the top slot come January. It will take someone with far more charisma than McCain to overcome the disdain a majority of the voters feel about the present administration. I don"™t believe 2008 will be the year of the GOP.

You might be right. I could see the POTUS become Demo and the congress become GOP. People are P.O.ed at congress, and P.O.ed at Bush.

If McCain loses it will be due to Bush. Absolutely NO doubt about it. There is NO other way that a black man named Barak Obama would have had a prayer of becoming president if Bush had done a half-way decent job. The best scenario in my opinion would have been for Kerry to have won 4 years ago. I think the republicans would have had a great chance of taking it back this year, but instead we might get an even worse liberal that we know so little about in Obama this time out. Deep down I still think McCain might pull it out. Lots of people in this country aren't exactly ready to see Obama in charge. Will it be enough people to decide the election? I guess we will find out on election day.

When Obama refuses to stay with the debate guidelines and insists of more than the alloted amount of time given, it speaks volumns about the man to me. I'm voting for Palan for president. This old line chicago politics gives me no hope for change, unless it is for the worst. Of the two candidates, and their possible successors, the only glimps of possible change from the "status qou" is seen in the possibility of Palan moving into the oval office before she becomes ingrained with the "same ole, same ole" of washingtom politics.

A toothless dogfight does come to mind, so long as the old dog is hamstrung as well. Who have these "impartial" moderators been? The press is seriously wagging the dog. You know who I would like to see as moderator? Ron Paul. No pre-approved questions. He wouldn't cut either any slack and is crazy enough to ask them anything and smart enough not to let them doublespeak. It would be like a cerebral cage match.

So exactly what does it say about him if he goes over the alloted time? McCain was doing it also. I think this has NO relevance at all. Neither guy was telling us much. I find it hillarious that some people are so sure that Palin would make a great president! Not that she couldn't be since all you need is a pulse to be president of the US, but she absolutely has NOTHING in her resume that would make me confident of this. Just because she is pro-life and hunts and has mighty little experience otherwise sure doesn't do it for me.

You can't blame the moderators. Both guys said what they wanted. You heard what both of them were all about. All Brokaw did was hold the watch and start the discussions. Unfortunately that is how debates work.

What did you think of McCain stomping out and Obama haning around to meet the public. Tells you something about who each of them are.

Both of these guys were so far above Palin. Could youimagine her answers to some of those questions. No sides, I am talking about both guys.

Sarah can tell you how to organize a car pool, get the street plowed and make rules that the bars stay open until 5:00pm.

If she was any good McCain would be using her to build substance in his campaign.

These show my point exactly-She isn't dragging a cottonsack full of past failures and poor performance, that she has to blame someone else for.
A car pool and plowed streets is more than the others offer.

Some of you Obama backers, show us a list of his top 20 acheivements while serving in Washington, beside his gifted speach, and slick talk.
