Default USA vs. Canada

I would like to know what the pros & cons are of moving to Canada, why do alot of Canadian people move to the USA, and why do you think US citizens move there...what are the economic conditions and jobs there compared to the USA. I knowmost of the hunting and fishing is better.
Thanks, Joe

They don't have osama, that would be one good thing. I have been up there 28 times hunting and fishing. Good people for sure. They always treated us right. Many of them would not trade their system of medicine with us. Things are not that different.

More people move to Canada than the US that I know. I've also heard Canada has more of a security net than the US. More socialist in a way, more gun control, more jobs definately. But very very cold winters.

I have a friend in Calgary, AB and she loves it there.

We have Tim Hortons here. The coffee is really good, but I don't think that's why people move to Canada.

Canada = great hunting
Lots of taxation there so if you are feeling like the government is in your pocketbook here don't go there.

I know I wouldn't mind to move there for the open land and hunting.

I think that it is incorrect whoever said more move to canada than the US. In my group of Lightwave Systems, we have 20 people and 5 are canadian passport holders, who are from the middleeast and asia, and all five was not in Canada more than than 8 years. They claim its so tough to get in the US these days legally, but canada no so much. They claim its a gateway to the US job market, especially tech.

I can understand it, out of my group, we only have8 US citizens and as far as I know, only a girl from buffalo and myself are born bred americans. Rest are originally from Russia, and China. Then the other 7 are on visas waiting for greencards after 8 years. Thats all I hear about is complaining on the immigration service.

So the ones waiting on greencards after all these years are worried. Some has even purchased houses. If they get laid off this year, they have to get a job within a month, or get to gettin back to the west bank or china. But if the middleeastern guys with canadian passports get laid off, they just go back to canada.

The Canadian immigration system sucks big time. When I was with the TSA we had people from Africa and Asia trying to fly from here and break into Canada with forged passports (which with my keen eye found them out) these people are kept and are given asylum. Canada is far too lenient and needs to buckle down.

The US in my opinion is FAR stricter and has an overall better system.

I used to hate dealing with Canada bound flights.

We have hired 2 Developers from Canada in the past 5 years and from of all places Nova Scotia. They literally make 4x what they made there with less taxation. I don't think either is going back anytime soon.
