Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Sounding Better All The Time

I caught just a little bit of an interview with Governor Palin this afternoon (on the way to my deer blind--season opened here today--whoo-hoo).

Anyhow, the "mortgage crises" was the topic at the moment, and she mentioned something that will probably make a lot of folks mad--among other things, she said something along the lines of the American people should take more responsibility for their own debtand not take out loans they can't afford, don't get another credit card when the rest are maxed out, etc. Wow--good 'ol common sense--who woulda' thunk it from a politician?

When you get right down to it, that seems to be the root of the problem--people doing stupid things and not taking responsibility for their own actions. Nobody came to them and forced them to take out loans they knew they couldn't pay back. Seems there should be some accountability there as well as on Wall Street.

I agree 100% with what you are saying about consumers...but I do think sending money to rescue Wall Street for their wrongs...is dead wrong...espicially when we are still going to have the CEO's of these same companies making anywhere from 15mil to 40mil a year...still..., and now we are going to let them try it over again. Actually some of these CEO should be handed inditements...not government handouts for their bad decisions. There is no accountability on Wall Street...a system run amuck.

I wanted to add, that if these Wall Street CEO's did recieved rescue funds, that maybe they should not be making over 200g a year, instead of millions they will still be making after their bailout...just a thought.

She sounds pretty clueless to me and I unfortunately will have no choice but to vote for her ticket. I will give her the benefit of the doubt until tonights debate, but if she shows as little as she has shown so far, I will show NO mercy for her.
