I think the NRA is too powerful of a lobby group and pays too many congressman and senators to let anything happen to our guns.

Lieing. Ask Mr Mccain (The Maverick) why he has 7 of Washington's top lobbyists running his campaign if he "SAYS" he is going to run them out of town when he gets there. His campaign manager was top lobby guy for the oil companies and now he is in charge of the campaign.

What a politician thinks of guns shows you what they think of YOU. If they think guns are to be banned then they don't think the people can be trusted. They are NEVER going to trust you and do a ton of things to protect you from yourself. The government is supposed to FEAR us. How can that happen if we let them take our guns. It is an amendment because it is important. It is not about hunting.

As for the economy...McCain wins there.
Stock market should be free of government intervention. Free markets take care of themselves. Both lose on that.
Gas...drill here drill now...McCain wins
Jobs...opening up drilling will create MANY jobs for starters.
Foreign Policy...I'm not sitting down with a thug wants us dead. McCain wins there.
The war...McCain will win the war and bring our troops home...PERIOD.

No politicians are immune to lobbyists. Ask Obama how the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac thing got started and he'll strap on some tap shoes and give you a show. Or lie to you.

Agreed. Obama has voted against guns in very piece of gun legislation he can get his handds on, and its all there in his public voting record. In Illinois, he is on record saying that NO american should be entitled to cary a concealed handgun, ever. (Except military and law enforcement.) The 2nd amendment is a huge obstacle in his socialist/ communist agenda, because it empowers law abiding citizens to defend themselves form all enemies, foreign and domestic. (Including his Big Brother government.) I hateit whenguys hide behind those of us in theNRA, and trust their 2nd amnedment will always be safe, and let the rest of us fight to make sure it does.
