''The package closes the Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card loopholes which resulted in the shooting out in Melrose Park. We're eliminating 17 specific assault weapons. There is no reason why anybody should need an assault weapon to protect themselves or their family,' Obama said. 'We're limiting handgun sales to one a month. 'We're calling for handgun registration. Obama Voted To Prohibit Multiple Sales Of Handguns Within A 30-Day Period. In 2003, Obama voted to create the offense of unlawful acquisition of handguns, prohibiting the multiple sales of handguns within a 30-day period. In 2000, Obama was co-sponsor of bill prohibiting the transfer of more than one handgun within a 30-day period. The bill exempted federally licensed firearm dealers who purchase handguns in the regular course of business, military, law enforcement officials and certain hunters. I do not object to the lawful use and ownership of firearms, but I do think it is entirely it appropriate for the state to monitor it. Too many of these guns end up in the hands of criminals even though they were originally purchased by people who did not have a felony. This Obama guy is funded and owned by the billionaire George Soros, a man who is willing to spend his money to make the great USA just another part of his fantasy world of one huge government which dictates to all of the people how to live.(I mean the United nations. If there is any serious error made by FDR & Sir Winston, this is it!!)And his vision does NOT include guns or shooting sports of any sort!

This is one election in which WE CANNOT AFFORD TO PERMIT A DEMOCRAT VICTORY!!

Well said, Eldeguello.... I'm a life member of the NRA and proud of it. Take a good look at recent (and I mean in the last 20 or so years) Democrats and just see who is basically anti-gun. Nearly every one of them. This guy is no different. I don't care what his political advertisements claim him to be, he's a snake in the grass to the gun-owning public. Plain and simple.
He just absolutely cannot be trusted, in my mind, on this subject or any other. He makes my skin crawl.

Thanks, Wildman! I have always agreed with your opinions! In this case, I'd be more apt to vote for Obama's WIFE-at least she doesn't try to hide her feelings-she's more honest than her husband!!

He abhors firearms and firearm ownership by anyone. He and Biden have consistently votedto deny our 2nd amendment rights and bothhave never defended the rights of law abiding firearms owners. It is a disgraceto post on a hunting board and showsupport towardsthese imbeciles. Go to the Sierra Club, HSUS,Handgun controlor any other antigun or anti hunting website and leave us alone..
