Pelosi aint not very good at math, aint she
She cries foul and berates the Republicans for killing the bail out vote yesterday. Ummmm Mrs. Pelosi, your party is the majority and some Republicans voted for it. I guess she skipped math class.

The bill had a lot of flies on it. And it ain't gettin' prettier. My guess is the Democrats who didn't vote for it want more support for individual homeowners who are in over their heads on their mortgages. If the bill is modified to add bail outs for individual home owners, more Republicans will vote against it. This would seem to be no big deal, because the Democrats have a commanding majority in the House of Representatives. The problem is, however, that the Democrats don't want to get stuck with the responsibility for this huge bail out. Especially because some good arguments can be made that at its heart, the home mortgage problem is due to liberal do-gooder efforts to substantially reduce loan qualifications to benefit the minorities.
So there may be no bill. And I'm not sure that is a bad thing, notwithstanding the Cassandra cries uttered by the news media and others. I say let these companies fail. Someone is going to buy up the assets at their true values, and we'll go forwards. There are good credit worthy accounts out there, and someone will lend them money. This notion that credit markets will freeze over for eternity if we don't bail these guys out, I find that a little preposterous. After the last 10 days, a lot of these people who are trying to stampede us into some immediate vote have lost a lot of their credibility. That is the best plan George Bush and Treasury Secretary Paulson can come up with? They have lost their credibility on this specific issue. Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank predicted first Thursday that a deal was in the bag -- there was no deal -- and again this past weekend -- there was no deal. These two have lost their credibility on this specific issue. I think maybe we ought to entertain the course of doing nothing. Let the chips fall where they may.

To be honest I don't think any bill should be passed unless it is in black and white where the money is going and who will be responsible for it. Attaching pork to it like money to go to African nations is pure BS, there are people here in the US that are living below the poverty level. Lets start taking care of our own before worrying about the rest of the world. By the way if you haven't been watching the news it is all of the people communicating to their imcumbent representatives telling them not to vote for it unless all the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted. This bill is for 700 billion dollars. When the reps from the treasury dept were questioned about how they came up with that figure the response was " Well we wanted a really large number" No facts, no math just more BS for the taxpayer to have to foot the bill for.

Obama=The Fourth Reich,
Just look at the parallels of the Nazi regime and the Obama Administration amazingly similar arent' they.
It gets even better. Yes, the democrats are to blame for the current crisis. The kook-aid drinkers
won't buy it tho' so they wallow in their ignorance. The bill that was voted down failed for a number of reasons:
: dems voted AGAINST it (along with the wishes of their constituents) but supported the bill. They just did
not want to go on records as voting FOR it...let the next guy vote for it.
: Pelosi poisoned the well by her little idiot speech prior to the vote (she really is an idiot and is reflective
of her constituency)
: Republicans were to be 'shut out' of this deal, hence the democrat bum's rush to pass it. Only after it
failed were people aware of the billions destined for the corrupt election-rigging 'ACORN' organization.
The fact remains that fully 1/3 of the democrats in the House voted AGAINST pig Pelosi's bill.
One wonders if this was not another power play to embarass republicans by bringing a bill to a vote for
which there were not even enough votes in her own party to pass. What vile and scurrilous slobs these be !
Yep, 95 of those dastardly, lying, liberalDemocrats defied their speaker and voted against the bailout. 65fine, up standing "conservative" Republicans voted the way Wya wanted them to-for the bailout.

House Democrats voting "yea" and "nay" respectively numbered 140 and 95, while the Republican vote was 65 to 133.
