So, where is the list of names? Who's going to be prosecuted? Why don't we know yet?
When Enron was exposed, we had a list of names of people who were at fault, and were prosecuted--why don't we have that with the current crisis?

There are too many to name, but names will be named. We'll hoist someone up over the fires just to satisfy the American desire for financial revenge before we address the long term effects.
I heard Bill O'Reilly naming some names last night. He mentioned someone from one of the recently failed financial companies who was trumpeting his company as recently as mid-September. O'Reilly says that man should lose his $$$ and go to jail for willful lieing on the financial condition of his enterprise. O'Reilly also points to guidance given by some person of authority at Wachovia that all was sweetness and light in their house, while things were clearly otherwise.
I smell a bit of the spirit of the Red Terror about the public (with reference, of course, to the French Revolution . . . not any sort of communisim allusion intended, for the historically challenged).
Way too many high level politicians from both parties involved is the main reason, including Hussein. O'Reilly named a few, but nothing will happen to them.

RE: Whodunnit?
Way too many names. We started with Clinton forcing banks to lend money to the disenfranchised, who could not afford the loans they were getting. Then we had Bush deregulate, whichopening up another door. Then we had warning from several in congress, yet the warnings were not heeded. Then you had CEOs padding their pockets to the tune of millions, with the full intent on taking the money and running. Done so by selling off these junk loans as fast as they could get the papers signed. This is a huge Crap sandwich that we are all going to have to bite. The SEC should be cleaned out, a new congress voted in, and special care in the presidential selection.
