Time for Change
Who to vote for? From my perspective the most important issue is the economy. I don"™t care anything about the Middle East and border issues right now. They are important but not to the extent that our economy is. We are all faced with seeing our life savings and / or jobs go by the wayside"¦or so we are being told. The comfortable way of life our parents and grand parents earned for us could be in jeopardy. This is a recent phenomenon and I believe the people we have elected to safeguard our way of life have fallen down on the job. I will vote for whichever candidate takes the lead and moves to provide a solution to this very serious problem the United States is now faced with. In addition, I submit that all of the politicians who are up for re-election be thrown out no matter what party they belong to. The system has failed us all and needs to be swept clean. The incumbents are part of the problem not the solution. Treat this country and the operation just like a business. When there is a business failure the ones responsible for getting there are sent packing. This government is built on and is self sustaining on the corruption that comes with power over time. The existing partisanship is putting the welfare of the people far behind the twisted aspirations of the politicians. 2008 is time for change. Let"™s demand we get better leadership and not stop with the top position.

Too busy with fishing to spend much time here.
As long as the two parties fight each other tooth and nail, it makes no difference in the world who we vote for. Partisanship has completely taken over all hope and reason.
I submit that all of the politicians who are up for re-election be thrown out no matter what party they belong to. The system has failed us all and needs to be swept clean. The incumbents are part of the problem not the solution.

All of them need to be put on the street. Speaking of streets, the lobbyist nests on K Street need to be fumigated.

I've advocated term limits for ALL elected officials for a long time...The problem is how to get them to voluntarily enact such measures...practically impossible I bet, although a strong president who could appesl directly to the people might have a chance. WHo is that though??

Funny, just throwing them out won't do it. It begins in our education system to understand what this government was founded on. I've said many times the independents don't have core principles. They claim to vote for whats best but truth be told they vote which ever the way the wind blows. You independents need to decide which works better, bigger government and high taxes or less government and lower taxes. Don't feel you need to answer now, your hand will be forced in a few years!!!

I will still stick with McCain. He is by far the lesser of the two evils. The US will be able to withstand Mccain's policies. I am afraid the US will not be able to withstand any socialist policies by Obama-lama-ding-dong. [:'(]

There is no such thing as less government. Oh, I know McAmnesty promises usless governmentjust like Reagan, Bush I and Wya promised us less government. Government will continue to growregardless of who is in office.
There is something worse than high taxes-high red ink: 11 trillion dollars worth, over 80 percent of it broughtto you by Reagan, Bush I and Wya.
McSame, McSame nothing will change... Just the same old same old is what we will be getting..
You have absolutely no idea on why/how we got here. All you can say is the campaign line "Mcsame". We have a spending problem here in America. If this little hiccup isn't enough to jolt you into sanity, perhaps the rejection of even more spending proposed is the last few days will. Then again maybe your fool hardy and the next crash coming soon to your neighborhood will awake you. We can't afford congress!
