Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Polls

Which of the nationwide political polls, among most likely voters, using thehighest number of polled voters, are generally thought to be the best non-biased polls? It seems like every day there is a new poll that changes from the previous days poll.

I look mostly at the poll averages on RealClearPolitics.com

Adding up and averaging the bigger name polls kinda evens out the bias, at least to some extent. I've been watching it for some weeks and it seems Rasmussen is generally the closest to the RCP average.

Default RE: Polls

Ignore all of them that are sponsored by a mainstream media outlet, like the ABC/Wash Post polls, etc. If there is going to be bias in the polls, this is where it will be. Both of the "lopsided" polls we've seen have come from news sources that are typically seen as being more liberal, such as the 16-pt. Newsweek poll and yesterday's 9-pt. ABC/Wash Post poll. Likewise, the Fox News Channel polls have traditionally more favorable to Republican candidates than the others, and you can rest assured that this isn't coincidence.

Rasmussen is the best, IMO. But they're all pretty meaningless, except to get a handle on trends.
