I've listened to co-workers, neighbors, strangers say that Obama is the man for change - we need change. Many posters here are voting for him for various reasons but it seems the number one reason is to get a guy at the helm that will turn this place around.
How exactly is he going to do this?

He's going to raise taxes, ship almost a trillion dollars of new spending overseas with nothing in return, sink us into a depression, resulting in the Democrat Party's ultimate goal... Total reliance on the government by everyone for everything.

How anyone can think a man with no ambition but that of Political office can accomplish that is totally beyond me. Other then going to Harvard(WHich is an accomplishment) but on the other hand thousands of students go there every year are they all worth of being President? He has a problem with the truth and has questionable ties to very shady people. He will turn the country in a new direction all right the wrong direction.

Burnie I think that most peoples have very little grasp on Economics is the best theory. They have been bombarded so long with Trickle Down ,Trickle Up, Supply side that They don't know if they are coming or going. Further example would be the Rainmaker rant last week where he interjected about 3 or 4 talking point buzz words in a statement one of which was supply side. When we have the 2nd highest corporate tax rates in the world who thinks by raising them more businesses are going to stay here and not leave? Only a Moron would believe that.

Obama is going to save the economy with "Hope" and "Change". He is going to hope that it fixes itself and allow us to only keep the change in our pockets.

Funny but there are lots of people who support Obama that I respect in general. But, i cant think of a single one of them for whom i have any real respect for their education and experience in economics. On the other hand, the folks whose firsthand knowledge of economics that i do respect are scared feces-less at the thought of Obama at thereigns of our economy.[]

I listened to a little of Hussein's press conference on the radio this morning. He was giving his view of education for the young. I have a very strong agreement about education for the young. Then at the end of his spill he threw in that the billion or whatever the number was that he was going to earmark for education was for a WORLD WIDE eduation program. Folks, we need to tend to our own shores #1, then when the economy improves maybe then some foreign aid could be sent out. We can't afford to save the world.
