Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 699.5 Billion ...... here is what you do with the other .5

give each person in the US $ 1,000,000

in the grand scheme, its chump change to $700,000,000,000 and we all benefit

Why isn't that a valid option? I can use that $1,000,000 to pay off things, to buy things, to invest .......

The problem is your math is way off

300 million people in the US
*
1 million dollars each

300 trillion dollars

In like fashion to what you propose, we could split up that "leftover .5 billion" by everone getting $1.66...as long as there was no postage or check stock involved

....close but no cigarette

On the same thought plane ,the stimulus package cost us 145 billion and we all got $600.00 jump that to $3000.00 and I'm thinking why not.

Because $6000 isn't going to help someone pay off the mortage for a $300,000 house

Hey Big D,
Maybe you could offer up a bet on who's math is correct. I'll take that bet just like the last one and you can just add that to what you already owe me. Maybe you can pay off your bets with that million you're getting back!

Just curious... do you think that we should be helping people, who bought more than they could afford, pay off their mortgages?

Funny but I'm not having any problems with the mortgage on my $85K house even though I could have probably finagled my way into buying a 300K house a couple miles away.
