Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Palin: A Vote for Women?

So, I was told today that Sarah Palin forced rape victims in Alaska to pay for their own rape testing in Alaska?

This true at all? If so, how can people even come close to considering she is a vote for women?

I have no idea if it's true or not. Most of the stuff I hear turns out to be garbage with little or no truth to it. Even if it was true, I would have to know the context of the whole ordeal to make a judgement. To many things are tacked onto other laws that can't be signed making the person look 100 percent opposite of how it's worded.

I would also never expect all people, woman or men agree on any issue.

So, who told you that Wahoo? Did you ask that person for their source for such a ridiculous statement? It looks like the DNC and it's cohorts are so scared of the Palin effect that they are putting anything and everything out there hoping at least a few naive people will believe it. The good old Internet is a wonderful tool for spreading disinformation.

Not really correct. As mayor of Wasilla, she fired the old police chief who didn't want to do things quite her way and hired a new one that was a little more friendly to what she wanted. That police chief did force rape victims to pay for their own rape kits, anywhere from $300-1200 each. He got into a huge fight with the Alaska legislature over it and they passed a law that forbade the practice of making rape victims pay for their kits. This was in 2000.

The story is all over the internet, but that's about the closest I've been able to get at the real truth of the matter.

You better read a little more, because you're still wrong.

I was told it's true. I was told she was in the ER each and every time a woman was raped. I was told she helped the doctor hang women by their ankles and shake the money right out of their pockets. I was told that she twisted their arms and forced them to the nearest ATM to take out their life savings...

Sheesh. Do some reading.

So it isa typical smear on your part? Maybe the republicans have wised up and followed the Obama camps idea of deleting links to stories that are detrimental to their campaign.

Well if you believe everything you're told by a reporter without verifying what you're told, maybe your intelligence deserves to be insulted. Or at least questioned. [:-]
