I'm supposed to believe she knew nothing about it simply because the McCain campaign denies it? LOL! In a town of less than 5500 people, everyone knows when the police chief is duking it out with the state legislature. It's ridiculous to think the mayor didn't know what her own police chief was doing, and why.

I can see what you're talking about, but Palin's stance is obvious on the issue, first of all, the guy who sponsored the bill, didn't even talk to her, or try to about it, that's a major sign of idiocy, and the guy has no idea how to get a bill to be more effective as a legislator,if he were good, he'd have talked to Sarah Palin, and pressured her to fire the Police Chief.(I believe the mayor is able to do that.)

Second, she increased funding for shelters,etc. I think the fact she didn't get involved in the issue keeps her clean from it, I'm pretty sure she just assumed that the legislature was going to push it through, and she'd just stay out of it's way, judging from her actions.

But to assume that she's responsible for charging rape victims is ridiculous, and baseless.
