Be careful when thinking about voting for 'pro-gun' Democrats. If all other things are equal (i.e. both candidates are pro-gun), I'll still vote for the Republican, and here's why: That Dem will be pro-gun, but he or she will still stand staunchly with the party, and that means supporting an anti-gun Dem. A perfect example is Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. Yeah, he's pro-gun, and does very well for us on that issue. But this is the same Ted Strickland who, when John Kerry was trying to convince us all that he was pro-gun and pro-hunting, took Kerry to the duck marsh in a set of camo with the price tags still on it. There they were, at the photo op, marching arcoss the marsh: Kerry the hunter (yeah, right) and Strickland the party loyalist, staging the whole mess. You can bet your bottom dollar that your pro-gun Dem will take the stage with Obama, or Clinton, or whichever anti is running.

You'd rather vote for an anti-gun Republican than a pro-gun Democrat? That's how anti-gunners took over the Democrats in the first place. You'll wind up having anti-gunners take over the Republican party if you keep that crap up. If you're going to vote pro-gun, then vote pro-gun regardless of party.
Any level, any election. Not just this one. As long as the candidate is otherwise worth the vote, vote pro gun.
Unfortunately, that's why I can't bring myself to vote pro gun in this election. I don't trust McCain. He's told too many lies on stuff that doesn't even matter for me to believe what he says on stuff that DOES matter.
Did you know that Keith Olberman made a vow to donate $100 to charity for every lie Palin told during the campaign? He made the promise on Sept. 10. One of the lies she told was how she is a champion for funding for special needs kids. BUT, she cut funding for the Alaska Special Olympics in half. So that's the charity Olbermann picked. He cut a check for $3700 for the first installment last Friday, the 19th. Special Olympics might come away with a nice chunk of change by November 4.
McCain has at least matched her, if not exceeded her accomplishment. That's a pretty impressive record of the 'lack of candor' in the McCain campaign. I don't see how anyone can trust a word he says. Obama has some lack of candor problems as well but, as a liar, he's a rank amateur in comparison to McCain and Palin.
It's a shame. I think she's basically an honorable woman, but she's being corrupted by the Washington bunch she's gotten involved with and is just following the script they've laid out for her.
Most Democrats in DC are antis. That is nothing new. There are also some antis in DC who are liberal Republicans.
Yep, 7 of those fine upstanding pro-gun Republians voted against the house bill on the DC gun law.11 putrid members of the Republican partydid not even have the guts to vote on that one.
Take a look at the failed McCain-Lieberman "gun show loophole" bill:
Did you know that Keith Olberman made a vow to donate $100 to charity for every lie Palin told during the campaign?
He's an arse and anyone who would subject themselves to his bs isn't thinking clearly.
She cut some funding though huh?? Doesn't sound like she knows anything about economics. The number one rule is governments are never supposed to cut funding right??
