Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Here is why the Demos are now a P.O.S. on my list.

[:@][:@][:@]Watching the energy bill debates, it was very obvious what the Demorats were doing. "We allowed drilling off shore and the Republicans shot it down. " Give me a freaking break. They allow drilling over 50 miles offshore, where the resources are more scarce. We can be pumping oil and gas in less than one year if we were allowed to drill off shore, with in 50 miles, but noooo the demos would rather us suffer for the sake of partisan ship. I"m so sick of the Demo congress I could puke. Watching the congress last night debating the energy bill made me sick. What a bunch of rats. Let us keep suffering and sending our money overseas, just so they can attempt to smear the Republican party. We need a decent third party, because us independents now have only one choice.
Trying to pass worthless engergy bills and painting it as if they really care.[][][:'(][:'(]

And before some one mentions states rights, The Demo bill completely trumps that. The state has no say, noris there any incentives to produce oil off shore, according to the Demos or Obama"s plan.

Now burnie, you're obviously wanting the "my way or the highway" outcome for your precious republicans. It is called COMPROMISE.

The dems at first wanted NO offshore drilling and for years, the constiuents of those states involved agreed - that's democracy.

Now the dems (and the east coast state constituency)were willing toCOMPROMISE (the intention of the framers)and allow SOME drilling as a limited beginning and the reps said "Nope - it's all our way or nothing".

Get over yourself and look beyond your partisan blinders - if you can't compromise (and you obviously don't understand the word) you can't function, in politics or in everyday life.

Being a hardass all the time will get you nowhere.

The only and ONLY reason the DEms tried that bill yesterday was that the billing ban was set to expire . If it had Oil companies could have drilled offshore anywhere. The Dems evidently can give a rats azz about drilling offshore, inshore or on land.

Just like they preach how they allow drilling in Alaska, but only open fields that have no oil? Then try to turn it on the other party and say, well we allow it, but you wont take advantage of it. Give me a freaking break. Ill open up my back yard for drilling, do you think any company will come poke a hole between my kids swing set? No, and why? Same reason we are not drilling that worthless land in Alaska, there is no oil.

if Oil was in these socalled unused land that Pelosi claims is unexplored then the Oil companies will be there just like they were in Poor Jed Clampetts back yard in WV. The dems behavior in all this is totally disingenuos.

Sounds like "sour grapes" from the republicans who were used to having it their way for 6 years.

If it was Sooooo important to national security and the economy, the reps had 6 years to allow drilling and where they darn well pleased.

Looks like election year politics to me - the reps pushing something (off shore drilling) that they stood up as a "paper-knockdown-figure" so they could tell the voters, "We tried and the dems stopped it, Oh well, vote for us."

At least the dems compromised - the reps said "we'll take our ball and go home." - bunch of spoiled, oil company stooges.

Hell, the last vote I casted was for a Democrate. Mind you, it was in a local election, but still a Democrate all the same.

I don't give a hoot who you vote for - your inability to recognize, and accept compromise is apparent - I called you out and now you've come unhinged.

You appear to have adopte Bush's mantra - demand everything and concede nothing.

Compromise was offered and answered with "my way or the highway" - period.
