Hacked email, race cards, political backers leaving, more ties to criminals coming out.The democratic presidential pick attacking the Republican VP pick? NOW stating she isn't a model woman, no support. Are we seeing a party of sore losers before the vote? Is this the melt down before the race really begins?

We are merely observing liberals in action.

They may be sore, but they certainly aren't losers, yet. I hope no one has started counting their chickens. There's still a long way to go until Nov. 4. Even barring an unlikely "October surprise," the debates could still flip the trend we're seeing now. And if the financial collapse on Wall Street continues, that will flip the trend. Not to mention, Obama's back in front in the daily tracking polls, lending credence to the theory that McCain's surge was simply a post-convention bounce.
This election is so close that it may come down to which candidate decides to get off the Personal Attack Express and start delivering the American people some substance to go along with their mantra of change and reform.

RE: Sore Losers?
I think the McCain/ Palin ticket will win. Picking her as a running mate was pure genius. She is a lot to like and baring any serious dirt she should help corner the female vote, conservative vote and all the dems who can't face voting for Obama. The only shot IMO the dems have is to turn over all rocks they can and find something that will derail either GOP candidate.

I'm kinda looking forward to those debates. I have a feeling that Mr. Obama is going to come across as what he really is, Mr. Slick. Like they say in Texas, all hat and no cattle.

it will be interesting, but the polls in this race will continue to be somewhat suspect as outcome indicaters. while to delta in the polls no doubt accurately reflect the current trend, i don't think they will accurately predict the outcome.
first there's the issue of race. some folks tell a pollster what they think the pollster wants to hear. thus this group will say they're leaning Obama (because they don't want to be perceived as "racist" because they think that's what the pollster wants to hear) but ultimately will pull a mccain lever. everyone knows this group is out there, but what per cent? i've heard anything from .5 to five per cent. it's a crapsshoot.
counterveiling this is the newly-registered voter. in some swing states, the Ds have scored HUGE registration victories over the Rs. this demographic is almost unpollable. bottom line, no one knows how many of them will actually vote. (a side issue is for everyone else running for lower offices-no one knows if this demographic will vote"down ticket". if they show up and pull an obama lever, will they leave, or vote for the rest of the offices as well? straight ticket or split?)

Gris, despite your political views, I, as a lifelong Saints fan, can identify with your plight. I just know every year that this is going to be the one. At the beginning of the season, you want them to go to the Super bowl, then a few weeks into the season, you start hoping they can just make it to the playoffs. A few weeks after that, you hope they finish at at least .500. Some years you wind up just wanting them to win a game (thank you Lord, for the New York Jets!). Anyway, you at least pick a team and stick with it to the bitter end, no matter what is happening on the field.
That's funny, attending an Obama rally yesterday Palin wasn't even mentioned...I believe the one reference to her she was referred to as "McCain's running mate." Smart political maneuvering right there

BTW, the Saints are going ALL THE WAY this year!
Hey! What are these political views you speak of?

Very recently they were whining about Obama's "celebrity" status - complaining because he was "too popular" essentially.
Last time I heard that crap - and folks actually nodding in fervent agreement -I was in high school. LOL,
